MULTI-DAY AYAHUASCA Retreats

Casa de la Luz is a Costa Rican–founded Ayahuasca retreat offering fully private ceremonies near San José, Costa Rica. Unlike most retreats that work with group settings, we specialize exclusively in one-on-one and private companion experiences, providing a safe, personalized, and deeply supported environment.

Each retreat is tailored to the individual, allowing for focused guidance, careful preparation, and meaningful integration. Our approach emphasizes privacy, respect for the medicine, and attention to each visitor’s unique process.

We prepare our own Ayahuasca using locally sourced plants and intentional practices, and when appropriate, we also work with select Amazonian brews from Pucallpa, Peru. Our facilitators are experienced in working with different Ayahuasca lineages, chosen thoughtfully according to each person's needs.

Located in Turrúcares, Alajuela, Casa de la Luz is easily accessible from Juan Santamaría International Airport while remaining immersed in peaceful natural surroundings. Transportation is available via Uber, rental car, or optional pickup, with on-site parking provided.

As Costa Ricans, we welcome both international visitors and locals, offering an authentic experience that blends traditional plant medicine with Costa Rican culture and hospitality. Complementary medicines such as Rapé, Sananga, Bobinsana, and San Pedro may be included when appropriate.

Arrival & Checkout

Arrival time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM

Please arrive within the designated window. Arrivals after 4:00 PM may result in cancellation of your session, as late entries impact subsequent retreats and staff resting hours.

Meals & Beverages

Snacks, water, and tea are available at all times.
We offer healthy, farm-to-table meals based on natural, vegetarian ingredients.
Other dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice.

Who This Retreat Is For

Our fully private format is especially supportive for individuals who are neurodivergent, introverted, highly sensitive, or anyone who prefers solitude and a calm environment, particularly for a first Ayahuasca experience.

All our retreats are fully private; you are the only participant (or pair).

To schedule a private retreat on your preferred dates, please contact us so we can confirm the best availability. We can operate seven days a week and strive to accommodate flexible scheduling whenever possible.

For the fastest response, we recommend contacting us directly via WhatsApp, where our team is available to assist you promptly. Please note that all reservations made through our automated booking system are provisional and are only confirmed once you receive direct confirmation from our team.

Payment Policy

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Due to limited availability, all reservations are non-refundable, though rescheduling may be considered in exceptional cases.

Payment can be made by credit/debit card via our payment link or by international bank transfer to Costa Rica. Once availability is confirmed, bookings are held for 24 hours only.

Services beyond dietary needs and Ayahuasca sessions are provided by third-party vendors. Casa de la Luz assists with arrangements, but service delivery is the responsibility of each provider.
